Great Wall Fun Fact

The myth: you can see the Great Wall of China from the moon.
The facts: Once you get beyond an altitude of a few thousand miles nothing man-made can be seen, therefore the Great Wall is not visible from the surface of the moon. It can, however, be seen from a low orbit, but the same can be said for highways, ships in the sea, railroads, cities, fields of crops, and even some individual buildings.
